The next friends meeting will be on July 7th at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will at the library.

Learn what you baby-carriage-4need to know and what every parent wants in a responsible babysitter. Topics will include interviewing for a babysitter job, making  good responsible decisions, keeping everyone safe and many other topics.This program will be held on Thursday, July 9th, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thanks to the “Friends of the Nassau Library” the fee is only $28. Class size is limited to 15 students, so you must make payment in order to reserve a spot.

A free admission  pass to the Clark Art Museum in Williamstown, Mass. and to the Tang Museum in Saratoga,  is in the library for you to utilize. The free pass is good anytime from June through October. Gallery Hours are Tuesday through Sunday 10:00am to 5:00 pm, and the museum is open daily in July and August from 10am to 5pm.  This summer the gallery is featuring  Dove/ O’Keeffe’s “Circles of Influence.”  For more information visit clarkart.edu. The pass may be borrowed for three days.

See full size imageThe library continues to provide job counseling services in 2009.  Joyce Pruett will conduct monthly small-group seminars with job seekers who want to improve their resumes and learn effective cold-calling and interviewing skills.  There are two programs scheduled for July 15th , the first is from 12-2:pm and the second is on the same day from 6 to 8pm. Please call 766-2715 to register.
