It is open to all children ages 0-17. Registration will begin on June 25th.  Children will earn raffle tickets for minutes read and for each program attended during the summer.  Register in person at the library or online at

CANDLEAre you familiar with the Nassau Resource Center?  This organization is located on Church St. in the Village of Nassau.  It is run by dedicated volunteers and is supported by the community’s churches and synagogue.  It provides free food and clothing to persons in need, and its director, Dianna Murphy, is very skilled in guiding people to other support services in Rensselaer County.  The phone number for the center is 766-9014.

The Nassau Sunshine Fund provides another valuable service to residents of the town and villages of Nassau.  Those who find themselves in a sudden emergency financial crisis might apply to this organization for an interest-free loan of up to $500.  To learn more about the Sunshine Fund, call 256-6878.

Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute

There are two passes available at the library. One of the passes is for the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, located in Williamstown, MA. This pass allows two adults free admission; children under 18 are free. 

Hours: Open daily July – Labor Day 10:00am – 5:00 pm; Closed Mondays early Sept – June; FREE Admission Nov 1 – May 31.

10 am – 5 pm Saturday

12 noon – 5 pm Sundays; July 6th – August 31 open Mondays from 10 am – 4 pm.

Passes can be checked out for a 3-day period and are handed out on a first-come, first-serve basis.
