Celebrate “America’s First River” in story and song with the Hudson River Ramblers at the Hoag’s Corners Firehouse, 7237 Rte. 66, East Nassau, on March 8th at 2 p.m. Storyteller Jonathan Kruk and folk singer Rich Bala will entertain the audience with an exploration of the Hudson from Mt. Marcy to Manhattan.
On Monday, March 16th, at 3:30 p.m. at Donald P. Sutherland Elementary School you can enjoy a program entitled “Tales of Our Heritage Along the Hudson.” A dozen cookies is twelve, but a bakers’ dozen is thirteen. Why? The answer has to do with the Dutch and the town of Beaverwick. Don’t know where Beaverwick is? The answer to this question and more will be answered by Storyteller Nancy Marie Payne.
These programs are made possible, in part, through COMMUNITY ART$ GRANTS, the State and Local Partnership Program of the New York State Council on the Arts and the Arts Center of the Capital Region. For more information, please call the Nassau Library at 766
