Starting in April a Seed Library will be available for community members at the Nassau Free Library. The library is designed to give anyone interested in organic gardening, seeds to start. Do you have extra seeds to share? Organic Seed donations of packets labeled 2019 would be greatly appreciated!

2nd Annual Team Scrabble Challenge! Sunday, March 24th, 2pm -5pm

Location: Nassau Reformed Church, 43 Church St., Nassau, NY

Join the Friends of the Nassau Free Library help raise funds at the Library. This non-traditional, team version of the game has three rounds, with the highest point winning team receiving prizes. Your entrance fee includes refreshments and participation in a silent auction. Bring a team of 2, 3, or 4 players, or join a team. $10/adult, $5/child. CANDLEAre you familiar with the Nassau Resource Center?  This organization is located on Church St. in the Village of Nassau.  It is run by dedicated volunteers and is supported by the community’s churches and synagogue.  It provides free food and clothing to persons in need, and its director, Dianna Murphy, is very skilled in guiding people to other support services in Rensselaer County.  The phone number for the center is 766-9014.

The Nassau Sunshine Fund provides another valuable service to residents of the town and villages of Nassau.  Those who find themselves in a sudden emergency financial crisis might apply to this organization for an interest-free loan of up to $500.  To learn more about the Sunshine Fund, call 256-6878.
