CANDLEAre you familiar with the Nassau Resource Center?  This organization is located on Church St. in the Village of Nassau.  It is run by dedicated volunteers and is supported by the community’s churches and synagogue.  It provides free food and clothing to persons in need, and its director, Dianna Murphy, is very skilled in guiding people to other support services in Rensselaer County.  The phone number for the center is 766-9014.

The Nassau Sunshine Fund provides another valuable service to residents of the town and villages of Nassau.  Those who find themselves in a sudden emergency financial crisis might apply to this organization for an interest-free loan of up to $500.  To learn more about the Sunshine Fund, call 256-6878.

JESTER1Let’s begin this year’s Summer Reading Program with an ice cream social.  On June 25th, stop by anytime between 6pm and 8pm for an ice cream sundae, and register for the program!

The Board of Trustees will meet in the community room of the library at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19th.  The meeting is open to the public.
