Join us for stories, action rhymes, music & movement, crafts and play! After storytime, stay and play in the Community Room! Enjoy a warm and inviting space where you and your child can play, and socialize with others in the community. Please note: This program is for both caregiver and child. It is not a structured program. Recommended for Ages: 0-4 years old
Family Movie Night –
Build, create, and have fun! We have a different themed build every month. Lego creations are displayed for all to see after every meeting.
Imagine it! Create it! Build it with friends! Please bring your own device if you have one. Pocket Edition & Creative setting only please. The library will have some devices to share, but they must be booked by reservation. Ages 6+
Hour of Code-
Learn to Code is an international movement supporting young people to learn computer programming. During our “Hour of Code”, children are invited to come play fun computer games that teach fundamentals of coding languages. Laptops will be available for use. Ages 6+.
Learn how to create your own movies using your imagination, an iPad, and your choice in art materials or Legos. Bring your own device with the app Stop Motion Studio downloaded. Let us know when you RSVP if you will need to borrow an iPad. Ages 5+
Be a VolunTeen!
Tweens and Teens ages 11 and older can sign up to become VolunTeens of the library. VolunTeens volunteer during the school year and/or during the Summer Reading Program. VolunTeens help to provide assistance with set up of programs, assist children during programs, help with administrative needs of the library, and clean up after programs. Volunteen benefits: personal reward, doing a good deed, helping your community, preparation for a job down the road, good experience, recommendation from the library, great for college resume, best of all: It’s Fun!
