You can support and help the Nassau Free Library in many ways:
1. PARTICIPATE IN THE FUNDING FACTORY PROGRAM
a fundraising project organized by The Friends of Nassau Free Library
HOW? – Donate used depleted inkjet and toner cartridges? A list of qualifying items can be found at www.Fundingfactory.com.
WHERE? – Place donated items in the floor display box located near the teen section of the library.
WHY? – Your donations will keep these items out of the waste stream and help the library earn “cash for trash.”
HOW DOES THIS WORK? – The library will receive a specific cash award for each item it sends to Funding Factory. The money generated by the recycling will be used for library programs and equipment.
2. Join the FRIENDS OF THE NASSAU FREE LIBRARY.
For more information on the Friends click here.
3. DONATE BOOKS AND DVDs –
The Friends of the Library hold book sales in Feb and May of each year. You can donate your gently used books and movies for the annual book sale.
4. VOLUNTEER TIME
by helping with library tasks, sharing a talent, promoting library activities, providing refreshments for library programs, selling raffle tickets, working at the book sale or spring bazaar. If you would like to volunteer, stop in and speak to Laurenne Teachout or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
5. GIVE A MONETARY DONATION
in person or by mailing a check to PO Box 436 – Nassau, NY 12123. If you are interested in funding a special project or discussing an endowment for the library, please contact Laurenne Teachout, at email@example.com. Your support is greatly appreciated.
